Dr. Tran joined Helmus Optometry in December 2021. Her interest in optometry began while working as an ophthalmic technician at a private practice during college. She is a Sacramento native and knew that she always wanted to return "home" upon graduation. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from UC Berkeley in 2013 and her Doctorate of Optometry from Southern California College of Optometry in 2018. She graduated as a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometry Honors Society and is a therapeutic and glaucoma-certified optometrist.
Dr. Tran has considerable experience in co-managing refractive surgery, primary eye care, and medical optometry. As her career progresses, she hopes to focus more on specialty contact lenses such as orthokeratology. Dr. Tran has become a Certified Paragon CRT Contact Lens Professional to continue her passion for slowing myopia progression in children and adolescents.
When not in the exam room, Dr. Tran enjoys traveling and being outdoors. She loves camping and hiking as well and spending time with her husband and large family. She has nine siblings, so Thanksgiving and Christmas are her favorite holidays. She hopes to have kids in the future and pass along her love for the great outdoors.
