Saturdays in the Rear-View


Effective the week of September 13, Helmus Optometry will be closed on Saturdays. Our office hours are now Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. This was not an easy decision; for 35 years we've operated six days a week. The main reasons for this schedule change are:
  1. Labor shortages, from administrative staff to Optometrists!
  2. The mental well-being of our 23 amazing staff; they deserve weekends off.
  3. Scheduling eye exams and order pick-ups on weekdays is easier for most patients since the shift toward remote/flexible work.
