Dr Lana Tu

Dr. Lana Tu, OD, MPH

​​​​​​​​​​​​​Dr. Lana Tu grew up in Northern Virginia and received her Bachelor of Science degree at James Madison University. She then pursued a Masters in Public Health at the University of Southern California and became interested in optometry from her work with a non-profit organization providing vision care to the underserved. She earned her Doctorate of Optometry from Southern California College of Optometry of Marshall Ketchum University in 2011. Upon graduation, she spent time providing eye care in Southern California, Ohio, and Virginia before moving to Davis in 2016. She joined Helmus Optometry in 2019.

Dr. Tu has extensive experience in primary eye care, pediatrics, and complex contact lens fitting. She loves being part of the Davis community and strives to build long-term personal relationships with her patients and their families.

In her spare time, Dr. Tu enjoys nature outings with her husband and two children, throwing pottery, and sculpting clay succulents.
